Dr. Franklin’s journey in dentistry began with a strong academic foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2001, providing him with a unique understanding of patient needs and communication. He then pursued his passion for oral health, graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2008.
Driven by a desire to provide the most advanced and effective treatments, Dr. Franklin actively engages in continuing education. His focus includes the integration of cutting-edge technology into dental practice, such as lasers and robotics. He has also pursued specialized training in areas like pain control, laser dentistry, digital workflows, managing strategic growth, emotional intelligence, and dentoalveolar extrusion. This commitment to lifelong learning ensures that our patients benefit from the latest advancements in dental care.
Experience and Expertise
Dr. Franklin’s professional experience includes serving as an Associate Dentist at Cornman Family Dentistry in Georgetown, Texas, where he successfully grew the new patient base and built strong relationships within the community. His responsibilities encompassed a wide range of diagnostic and treatment procedures, as well as effective communication and documentation.
Prior to focusing solely on general dentistry, Dr. Franklin also served as an Associate Dentist at Smile Center Dental in Austin, Texas, where he focused primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. He has extensive experience in oral sedation for children, completing over 1000 cases with a strong emphasis on safety and positive outcomes. He is also skilled in providing care to special needs pediatric patients and in improving treatment protocols for enhanced patient comfort and success.
